BCI partnered with Aezion to give it an end by buiding a one-stop platform which will be become single source of truth from contract data all the way through project management and invoicing.


Missing centrally accessible end to end solution

There are many out-of-the-box tools available but none of them would meet what Bridgepoint needed, especially with inhouse and sub-contractor pay plans are different and involve different business rules. Large construction field jobs that take weeks or months at times demands detailed reporting, a reporting tool that will be one of its kind for Bridgepoint Communications.

To achieve the level of reporting Bridgepoint needed, how data is captured as a first step played a major role and since Bridgepoint has multiple sources of information scattered across multiple tools such as Excel spreadsheets, smartsheets, MS Access and paper trial. Bringing all of the information into a centrally accessible database was the problem 1 while utilizing the central database capabilities to track/ report and adjust their office/ field operations was problem 2 to solve.


Develop a customized platform that works for BCI

Aezion came up with a system that lets BCI performs their entire workflow starting from customer/ contract management, project management, invoicing and reporting. The system lets admins configure each employee with custom pay plans thereby providing greater flexibility.

The core idea of the system is always to ensure tracking is on figure tips for various user levels. For instance, a project manager may be more interested in budgeting and actuals, a supervisor is more interested in daily field reporting, a permit person is more interested in what permits are getting expired soon and an account is more interested in unpaid work/ progress billing capabilities. To satisfy all of these needs, a role based dashboard system is built to where each user when logged in, they see what they want to see and what makes their job easier/ better/ productive. Today, BCI office staff can track any job as to how much work is promised, budget spent, work delivered %, gross revenue and cost on each job.


Streamlines workflow and improves tracebility from end to end

Since the entire workflow is customized to BCI needs, the result is a streamlined workflow that invites accountability at each step for each user role and thereby improve tracebility. Today, the system provides complete visibility of where their daily production units come from, corresponding project information, % work completed and % work remaining, items used, invoice status and the amounts – all in single view.
